This week at the iSchool

iSchoolers in the News

Andy Herman enrolled in the iSchool’s Master of Science in Information Management program after his interest in cybersecurity was piqued. We talked to him about the UW student group he’s leading and how it attracts students from all over campus.

The fall edition of iNews is on its way to mailboxes soon, featuring the latest message from Dean Harry Bruce. In it, he talks about the triumphant story of the iSchool and his final year as dean.

Susan Hildreth, our Distinguished Practitioner in Residence, talks about the future of libraries in this video from Library Journal:

Ph.D. candidate Ivette Bayo Urban will be part of the lineup at the upcoming TEDxSnoIsleLibraries event at the Edmonds Center for the Arts.

And just a reminder that our annual Spencer G. Shaw Lecture is coming on Nov. 9, featuring M.T. Anderson, the author of “Feed” and the “Octavian Nothing” saga. Learn more about the event and register here.
