Informatics major Sayna Parsi is among the leadership team of the Women in User Experience student group, which was profiled in The UW Daily. The group aims to open doors for women entering the UX field.

Michelle Martin, our Beverly Cleary Professor for Children and Youth Services, sent her students out into communities to promote diversity in children’s books. We wrote about her class, which involved projects as far away as South America.

John Palfrey, a noted scholar and author, visited the iSchool on May 11 for the annual Ed Mignon Distinguished Lecture. We wrote about his talk, which showed his passion for libraries and vision for their future.

The media attention for “Calling Bullshit” continues, with The Seattle Times and Scholastica becoming the latest outlets to cover the class, which is taught by the iSchool’s Jevin West and biology Professor Carl Bergstrom. They also posted their latest lecture:
