Associate Professor Hala Annabi talked to The Daily about her role in the Welcome Inclusion Initiative and plans to use the Special Olympics as a spotlight for inclusion in the Seattle community. “When we think about inclusion, it’s the idea that we are aware and accepting and welcoming of differences so that you can create a space where individuals of all abilities, of all preferences, can feel welcome and included and empowered in that environment,” Annabi told The Daily.
